You know it was just a matter of time before the Italian police crashed their 520-horsepower Lamborghini super cop car. So what exactly happened to the Lamborghini that forced the Italians to total the car? According to the Italian police a driver cut off the Lamborghini forcing the "highly trained" driver of the super cop car to slam into a row of parked cars. Notice that if you plow into a parked car with a an ultra low Lamborghi, you tend to end up under the parked car. The British Guardian Newspaper is reporting that: "The front end of the Lamborghini was demolished and the driver and a passenger were injured, although not seriously. The Italian police have used Lamborghinis, complete with white speed stripes, since 2004 in an effort to keep up with speeding motorists. The cars, which have a top speed of 200 mph, are also equipped with defibrillators and fridges for transporting transplant organs.

D.O.D Purchases 2,200 Ps3's to Upgrade Supercomputer
Apparently the Department of Defense believes that PS3s are a better value when it comes to supercomputers than IBM products specifically designed for the purpose. Granted recent price drops probably didn't hurt in justifying a 2,200 console order either. This isn't the first time that the DoD is using PS3 consoles for supercomputing. In fact, these 2,200 units are going to be added to an existing Linux cluster of 336 PS3s used by the United States Air Force. According to Justification Review Documents, the purchase is all about getting the best value out the DoD's budget: With respect to cell processors, a single 1U server configured with two 3.2GHz cell processors can cost up to $8K while two Sony PS3s cost approximately $600. Though a single 3.2 GHz cell processor can deliver over 200 GFLOPS, whereas the Sony PS3 configuration delivers approximately 150 GFLOPS, the approximately tenfold cost difference per GFLOP makes the Sony PS3 the only viable technology for HPC applications. Did the D.O.D really buy them to upgrade this "Supercomputer" or are they just playing Modern Warfare 2 on their lunch break?

Freshjive’s well-researched and literature-backed social commentary continue on with the upcoming release of their “Hope is Fading Fast” t-shirt. Officially set to also usher in the new “logo-less” Freshjive, the t-shirt is a bold statement on the current (or lack therefor of) change initiated by President Barack Obama. Details of Freshjive’s own reasonings can be seen at their The World’s Got Problems column. The t-shirt will be available at select retailers at the Freshjive Reserve store in Fairfax, Los Angeles.

Rockstar Games Confirm Grand Theft Auto V?
It might be a long way off but Rockstar co-head-honcho Dan Houser has dropped the first hints that the team’s ready to start conjuring up ideas for Grand Theft Auto 5. The build up to Grand Theft Auto saw fingers reduced to bloody stumps, and it looks like Rockstar’s planning to put gamers through it once more after Rockstar co-president chatted briefly about GTA 5. But don’t plan that pre-order just just. It’s barely in the design stage. There’s still the matter of where to set the carjacking follow up. “We’ll think of a city first, then the characters.” According to The Times the script will be up to or around 1,000 pages long. That’s ten times as many as a feature film, apparently. Houser also hit out at those eager to chastise video games for encouraging bad behaviour. “Look, video games are a popular and easy enemy,” he said, adding that the controversy is all part of doing stuff that hasn’t been done before. He suggested that there’s a double standard when it comes to so-called violent games and movies. “Manhunt 2 was banned in the same week that Saw was released. The arguments become quite ludicrous quite quickly when people argue that games are somehow more dangerous than full-motion video.” “Within Rockstar, sometimes we feel that some of our games get singled out and held up as pariahs. All we want to do is tell a story with rounded characters. Like GoodFellas, which is a key film for us, our rounded characters happen to be criminals.”
